Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology Team

As I was driving this morning, the sky was blue and sunny. There was traffic everywhere and I noticed that everyone is shopping for Mandarin Oranges.

Today is Chap Goh Mei, Year of the Dragon. It is also the last day of the Chinese New Year celebrations. The story is that in the past, single women will be tossing Mandarin oranges into the river and hoping that they will find a suitable match. I think they may have written their contact information on the orange. What an interesting random phenomenon! Times have changed, nowadays we have FB, Instagram and other social media dating sites that I may not even be aware of.

Today is also the day I hand over the baton of MSAI presidency to Prof Salina. I am now Immediate Past President of MSAI. I want to congratulate the new Exco on their new positions. I want to also thank the team for their immense support during my term. I hope to have contributed a little something to the society and to the field of Allergy and Immunology.

After the meeting, I went shopping for fireworks! It is the last day to light them!
