Helping Your Child Manage Eczema

Eczema in Children: We Look Beyond the Skin

Is your child’s eczema keeping you up at night?

Does the itch keep coming back despite creams and moisturizers?

At Allergy & Immunology Clinic, we take a structured approach to eczema care.

1. The Right Skincare Routine

A proper skincare protocol using carefully selected, hypoallergenic products to hydrate the skin and support its protective barrier.

2. Identify Environmental Triggers

Dust mites, pets and other environmental allergens can worsen eczema in some children.

We assess whether these triggers may be relevant and offer allergy testing when indicated.

3. Investigate Food Allergies

Some infants with eczema may also have food allergies. When indicated, skin prick testing provides results in about 15–20 minutes.

Food allergy testing needs proper interpretation. A positive result does not automatically mean a child has a food allergy.

4. Treat Relevant Allergies

Depending on your child’s allergy profile, we offer environmental allergen immunotherapy and oral food immunotherapy to help manage selected allergies.

Every child is different. We assess your child’s skin and allergy history to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
